Learn Skills using Python

Python is a great language. It’s pretty popular right now, it’s used in many companies and you probably have used websites and apps that are written in Python. It also makes an excellent language to learn the concepts of programming. In this course, you’re going to learn a lot about Python. But more importantly, you’re going to learn the concepts of coding, you’re going to learn how to think like a programmer. You’re going to learn skills that you can carry with to you any computer language.

What you’ll learn

  • From Algorithms to Object Oriented Coding.

  • Coding Structures
  • Functional Programming
  • Object Oriented Programming

We’ll start simple, and get complicated. I’ll show you how to install and configure the free software you’ll need to develop in Python. We’ll use PyCharm and Idle as our development environments – they both work on PC and Mac operating systems. We’ll start with simple algorithm We’ll code an interactive application using functional programming, and finally we’ll create a Sudoko game using object oriented programming where you’ll learn about objects, properties, and methods.

The target age group for this course is about Grade 10 or so, through adult. There is no prerequisite knowledge you have to now before taking this course. You just need a computer, and the desire to learn. I’ll lead you through the rest.
